ABOUT THE JOB:
The Lync by Watts Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for driving commercialization efforts in their region by leading sales activities, coordinating marketing efforts, and providing subject matter expertise to assist in training, application, and operation of Lync by Watts technologies. The successful candidate will identify strategies for targeting new market opportunities while generating sales through an existing representative network and facilitating inter-department cooperation to ensure market feedback is incorporated into brand strategies. This position is also responsible for accelerating other HHWS growth initiatives by ensuring representative cooperation and support.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Take ownership of commercialization activities in specified region to grow sales and establish/maintain market leadership.
  • Recognize and drive business opportunities in existing and new markets utilizing established sales channels.
  • Develop and implement sales plans to accommodate regional, brand, and divisional goals.
  • Prepare periodic sales report highlighting initiative success, representative participation, opportunities for growth, and any other objective metrics to illustrate regional performance.
  • Subject matter expert in plumbing, mechanical, refrigerant, and water quality technologies.
  • Function as principle point of contact for representatives within the defined region and facilitate interaction between internal and external resources as pertaining to defined region.
  • Operate efficiently & effectively in fluid business situations and communicate relevant information regularly.
  • Screen potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; evaluating options.
  • Collaborate with product management, marketing, and representatives to provide enhanced product presentations and application assistance tailored to market needs.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with parallel sales teams to ensure that One Watts initiatives are met throughout the defined region.
  • Drive channel strategy and product improvements with both sales and marketing teams to increase revenue and margin for new and underperforming product categories.
  • Identify new product ideas and evaluate potential.
  • Develop and share industry profiles in key vertical markets (i.e. Lodging, Healthcare, Multi-Family Housing, etc.) to help guide the strategy and focus for business development initiatives in those markets.
  • Recommend product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential.
  • Evaluate global business opportunities, including acquisitions and partnerships and lead early phases of the transaction life cycle, including identification and assessment.
  • Work closely with Watts leadership to evaluate and analyze incoming inquiries and opportunities; source and create new corporate development opportunities.
  • Flexibility to work on other major market and channel related projects as the need arises.

  • Developed presentation skills to interact with people at all levels and functions inside and outside the company.

  • Industry experienced professional capable of providing technical insight into Watts product line and solutions offerings; familiarity with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.

  • Must have demonstrated leadership and organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities.
  • Capable of independently negotiating sales activities to enable brand sales while enforcing brand policies at various levels within external company leadership.
  • Experience working remotely with appropriate home office accommodations.
  • Computer efficiency - Intermediate level in MS Office.
  • Computer efficiency – Mechanical and Plumbing drafting abilities preferred.
  • Ability to travel to field sites as needed in support of commercialization efforts – anticipated at approximately 50% with understanding that this may flex based on regional requirements.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
This is an experienced sales professional role with specialized skills desired. The following characteristics are required minimum qualifications, but alternative relative experience may be considered:
  • BA/BS degree. BS in a related technical discipline such as Mechanical Engineering preferred.
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in consultative/value-based technical sales management.
  • Previous experience with refrigerant based technologies will be a significant advantage.
  • Verifiable record of growing market share in technical sales.
